An anonymous pollster is calling voters in New York City listing former Congressman Anthony Weiner’s name among the candidates in a hypothetical five-way primary for mayor, raising speculation of a political comeback for Weiner, The New York Daily News reports (via City & State First Read).

Christine Quinn's Gamble

What Speaker Quinn is gambling, the deal that she is making with the Devil, is that nobody is going to call her on her inability to make good on simple policy decisions, like « We are not going to fall for that bait-and-switch. » She is also counting on nobody getting outraged enough to say that the influence of real estate developers, as indicated by their large campaign contributions to Speaker Quinn's campaign treasury, is over-riding the needs the voting public.
